Topics

Entering a topic in the topic text field creates a separate chat for that particular topic.

Topic names up to 30 characters long (Unicode) are supported. Topic names are automatically converted to lower case characters.

Spaces in topics are ignored in the sense that for example topics 'gold price' and 'goldprice' are the same topic.

Clicking 'Share' opens up a text field with a URL for the selected topic, in the form: http://www.blabline.com/topic which can be copied and pasted into emails, blogs, forums etc.

In the upper right corner of the messages box, a 'Topic link' is shown when the topic only contains characters a-z, 0-9,'-' or '/' and contains at least one dot '.'.

To get an RSS feed for a topic, click on the   image.

My topics

When you are signed in, topics can be added to and removed from 'My topics', a list of your saved topics.

When you enter a topic, a button   is presented next to the topic title above the message text area. When clicking on this button the current topic will be added to the My topics list.

If a topic has already been added, a button   will be presented and clicking on this button will remove the current topic from the My topics list.

My topics are available in the dropdown menu to the right of the topic text input field when topics have been added. Max 100 topics are allowed in My topics.

Nuking users

When signed in, you can delete other users' (and your own) messages by clicking on the nuke icon   in a message. Up to 20 of the nuked user's messages in the topic are deleted and the nuked user is blocked from sending messages to the topic for 5 minutes.

The nuke function is limited to max one nuke every 5 minutes.

The nuke function is available in the general (empty) topic and in topics starting with an asterisk (*), such as topic *health but not in topic health without an asterisk.
